A government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left no stone unturned in the last eight years in empowering women. Mr Modi wrote in a tweet today that women-focused development has been the top priority of his BJP government since its inception. Through women-led development, the lives of millions of our mothers, sisters and daughters have been improved, and they have contributed immensely to the progress of the country.

Women in India have been empowered by the BJP governmentThe Modi government has taken several pathbreaking initiatives, including the Mudra Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan, the expansion of paid maternity leave, the opening of over 2.73 crore accounts under the Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme, the end of the instant triple talaq, and the establishment of a permanent commission for women in the armed forces.

He also added that there have been many gains in regard to the ease of doing business over the past few years. These gains were driven by the principle of Reform, Perform and Transform. He said that these gains are especially helpful to the youth in India and give wings to their aspirations to become wealth creators.
