Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is in the United States for the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. She will also participate in G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meetings. The Minister left last night for the United States. A number of bilateral meetings will be held between Ms Sitharaman and other countries, including Indonesia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and South Africa.
Furthermore, she will meet one-on-one with CEOs in the semiconductor, energy and other sectors of priority for the Indian government. Besides the meetings with the World Bank, IMF, G-20 and Financial Action Task Force, the Finance Minister will also attend an event at the Atlantic Council, a prominent think tank in Washington, DC, as well as interact with Stanford University faculty and students. Ms Sitharaman will participate in a high-level panel discussion on Money at a Crossroad, hosted by the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
